How to work these packets
These are fictional training records, not actual employer emails, financial statements, or approved travel. Paula receives the source data, determines what matters, organizes it in Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint, and submits her finished work for supervisor review. Do not book actual travel, send real messages, or pay invoices.
Daily workflow: (1) read all source records; (2) identify priorities and missing information; (3) create a deliverable; (4) check accuracy and permissions; (5) upload to the Academy portal; (6) review feedback and revise.
Training work packets
1. Inbox — 32 complete messages
Read the entire email body, not just its subject. Use the action, deadline, sender, and escalation requirements to build an inbox register. Some messages deliberately contain unsafe or unauthorized requests.
2. Existing calendar — scheduling source data
Convert Chicago times to Eastern as needed. Detect overlapping appointments and avoid treating tentative holds as confirmed bookings.
3. Chicago travel — complete comparison data
4. Vendor invoice register — 24 records
Check invoice numbers, purchase orders, due dates, approval status, and any duplicate records. Never change payment details based only on an email.
5. Property budget — 25 line items
For expense categories: dollar variance = actual minus budget; percentage variance = (actual minus budget) / budget. Explain unfavorable overages and favorable underspending without assuming causes.
6. Work submission checklist
Notes stored here remain on this browser. Supervisor submissions require the configured Supabase portal.
